Psychology Service Fee
At our practice, fees are determined based on the provider’s credentials. Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes, or intervals thereof. We understand that financial limitations may impact one’s ability to receive care, which is why we offer a sliding fee for eligible clients.
The cost of therapy varies based on the credentials of the provider. A Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist will charge $220 or more per session, while a Clinical/Masters of Social Work will charge $190. A Registered Social Worker and Canadian Certified Counsellor will charge $140 per session, and Masters Level or Student Therapists charge $110.
Our practice also charges non-session billable rates, such as consultation, advocacy, examining file materials, and follow-up, which cost 1/5 of the fee per 10 minutes. Reports cost one hour’s fee plus 1/5 of the fee per 10 minutes. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to attend, the full fee will be charged.
Payment is due to your therapist at the time of each session. We collect credit card information during the intake process to secure your first appointment. If a credit card is not available, other payment arrangements must be made prior to your initial session. We accept cash, credit, or a check held on account, though there is a $5.00 service fee for each charge. If a check is returned from the bank due to insufficient funds, there will be a $25.00 charge, and future payments must be made in cash or by credit card.
We require e-transfers to be sent 12-24 hours before your appointment to ensure it has been collected and connected to your account for billing. We reserve the right to place your account in collections if it goes into arrears more than 90 days. Any collection charges incurred will be your responsibility.
If you have private health insurance, all or a portion of your fees may be covered. Fees may also be tax-deductible as medical expenses on your income tax return. We offer direct billing to some Employee Assistance Programs.

Billable time includes any time the therapist spends with clients during in-person, phone, or video sessions, as well as any follow-ups, reports, or communication with other agencies or individuals as requested by the client. Any contact made regarding appointments and scheduling is not considered billable time.
We reserve our appointment times for clients, and clients are financially responsible for their scheduled time as agreed upon in the Client Services Contract. To cancel, we require at least 24 hours’ notice. Failure to cancel within this time frame or failure to attend will incur a full fee charge.
